CALL FOR FEATURED ARTISTS

Westbury Arts has designed a program to feature an artist for several of our art exhibitions in 2026. The Featured Artist will be allocated the brown slotted wall facing Schenck Avenue, approximately 17′ W x 7′ H and will highlight as many works as will tastefully hang in that space. The remainder of the gallery will display work from an open call for artists based upon the theme proposed by the Featured Artist. The Featured Artist will assume the curatorial role, with support from the Westbury Arts exhibition team and Executive Director.

In consideration, thereof, the selected artist will be asked to:

  • Propose the theme for their exhibition.
  • Curate the exhibition with the help of the “Exhibition Working Group.”
  • Promote the exhibition on their social media and recruit fellow artists to enter their work in the companion open show displayed in the remainder of the gallery.
  • Offer your artwork for sale or mark it NFS (Not for Sale). Artists agree to donate 20% of the sale price to Westbury Arts of any work sold during this exhibition. The artist will handle the sales.
  • Have the opportunity to sell their art related merchandise during a selected gallery open day with 20% donated to Westbury Art.
  • Provide or pay the cost of the opening reception refreshments (approximately $100.00)

FEES: No additional fee for the featured artist.
