DESCRIPTION:Featured Image: Self-Portrait\, Vincent van Gogh\, 1887; Paris\, France \n\nJoin us on Sunday\, August 25\, from 2:00-4:00 PM for the Opening Reception for “The Human Head” Art Exhibition! \nThe Exhibition: Artists throughout history have depicted the human head to convey unique perspectives and evoke emotions. These artists go beyond capturing a likeness; the human head allows them to convey feelings like sympathy\, amusement\, identification\, anger\, pity\, or adoration. \nWestbury Arts called for original work which explores the varied media including painting\, drawing\, sculpture\, ceramics\, collage\, photography\, mixed media\, and assemblage used to depict the human head. In this exhibition\, we asked artists to focus on the complexities of human psychological\, spiritual\, and emotional experiences. We encourage viewers to reflect on the essence of humanity and unseen dimensions that influence individual stories\, with an emphasis on our shared humanity. \nThe Reception: Come join us for an afternoon filled with creativity and inspiration as you immerse yourself in a world where imagination knows no bounds and let the art speak to your soul. \nMeet the artists\, mingle with fellow art enthusiasts\, and enjoy an exhibition of beauty and wonder. This event is a celebration of art and creativity\, and we can’t wait to share it with you! \nDon’t miss out on this opportunity to witness talented artists’ portrayals of The Human Head.
