Opening Reception: The Forest of Healing Trees

Join us for the Opening Reception of “The Forest of Healing Trees,” a series of fiber art crocheted trees by artist and storyteller Alicia Evans.

This exhibition brings to life a marvelous collection of fiber art crocheted trees by artist and storyteller Alicia Evans. You are sure to be amazed with this colorful collective culminated into a forest designed to pay tribute to trees. The exhibit also serves as a visually soothing arena for inspiring conversation around the power of trees for healing during these shifting times when anxiety and mental health challenges reign high. The exhibit is visually designed to capitalize on the philosophy of the power of nature and art as a source for healing impacting one’s overall well-being.

Evans says, “ALWAYS REMEMBER: Everyone needs trees to live! I simply gift you with crochet tree portraits to remind you of their importance to life. And now I create a forest of healing trees just for you to savor, meditate and be moved!”

The exhibit, featuring Evans’ stunning crocheted trees, not only showcases her artistic prowess but also emphasizes the critical importance of environmental conservation and healing through the power of art.

As a torchbearer for tree advocacy, Alicia Evans passionately advocates for the protection and preservation of trees. Through her intricate crochet techniques, she brings trees to life with remarkable precision, highlighting their significance in sustaining our planet and the well-being of all living beings. Her artwork serves as a catalyst for dialogue, raising awareness about the invaluable role of trees in our ecosystem.

Following the Opening Reception, our gallery will be open for viewing this exhibition according to the following schedule:

  • Thursdays from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM
  • Fridays from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM
  • Saturdays from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM

From August 10th until August 26th, 2023.

Free parking is available in the municipal lot across from the gallery after 6:00 PM on weekdays, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays.
