CALL FOR ARTISTS: Empowered/Empoderadxs
This exhibition aims to empower and honor the rich traditions of Hispanic Heritage Month. We invite local artists to explore the multifaceted tapestry of Latin America through the expressive platform of art. Using varied media including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, collage, photography, mixed media, and assemblage, artists weave together a mosaic of diverse customs, traditions and aspirations that have all come together in what we call El País de Oportunidad/The Land of Opportunity. In collaboration with Cuentos de Triadas, this exhibit will explore the theme of empowerment of Hispanic/Latinx families in the USA. Westbury Arts invites contemporary artists of Latinx heritage to submit their original work for a show at the Westbury Arts Gallery located at 255 Schenck Avenue in Westbury, NY.
