CALL FOR ARTISTS: The Human Head
Artists throughout history have depicted the human head to convey unique perspectives and evoke emotions. These artists go beyond capturing a likeness; the human head allows them to convey feelings like sympathy, amusement, identification, anger, pity, or adoration.
Westbury Arts is accepting original work which explores the varied media including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, collage, photography, mixed media, and assemblage used to depict the human head. In this exhibition we ask you to focus on the complexities of human psychological, spiritual, and emotional experiences. We want you to encourage viewers to reflect on the essence of humanity and unseen dimensions that influence individual stories, with an emphasis on our shared humanity.
