Author Talk: S.P. Brown and “The Gifts Journey – Finding Your Strength in Strife”

In celebration of Women’s History Month: Meet the author S.P. Brown and learn about “The Gifts Journey – Finding your Strength in Strife”.

 

LEARN ABOUT THE BOOKS: “The Gifts Journey to Finding your Strength in Strife” is an exposition of resilience and overcoming adversity. This event featuring the author, S.P. Brown, will explore her work and platform of literary storytelling and the impact of a life replete with adverse childhood experiences as well as triumph, when viewed through the GIFTS Lens. S.P. Brown’s experiential narratives offer a framework for identifying value in the many challenges in life, i.e. viewing life through the GIFTS Lens, providing a practical application (through education and mentoring) of resilience building in children and adults. Special leadership guests in education and the youth development space on Long Island will also join this event!

 

MEET THE AUTHOR: S.P. Brown is an attorney, author, speaker, education consultant, and corporate executive. Kyrie’s School Blues is book one of The Gifts Journey Chapter Book Series. Kyrie’s School Blues is a story about the power of vocabulary building and reading. It is also about identifying a true friend, using your words, and being courageous and resilient in the face of challenges. S.P. received her Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude from Hunter College, City University of New York in Human Communications, and her Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law. She lives in Nassau County. Kyrie’s School Blues is S.P. Brown’s first children’s book. S.P. Brown is also the author of Gifts in Brown Paper Packages, which is a coming-of-age story based on real-life experiences.
