Join Westbury Arts on February 25 from 1pm-4pm for a fun afternoon of collaborative art making to celebrate Black History Month. We will create a community artwork inspired by Romare Bearden’s 1971 collage The Block (pictured). Participants will learn about Bearden’s contributions the the Harlem Renaissance and listen to jazz music, all while creating a large scale collage celebrating Westbury’s Post Avenue. Families are welcome to participate, young children must be supervised.
