Sumari is a quartet of master multi-instrumentalist inspired by long time friendship, interests in the mysteries of the universe and expressing this trough their music. Matt Lavelle (trumpet), Jack DeSalvo (guitar), Dmitry Ishenko (double-bass) and Tom Cabrera (drums) are recognized worldwide for their virtuosity and the creative groups they appear in and lead, e.g., 12 Houses, Matt Lavelle Quartet, Jack DeSalvo Quartet, Hillard Greene’s Jazz Expressions and Tom Cabrera Trio. If you are a fan of great improvised & fusion-oriented music, you won’t find a better session than this one. Matt Lavelle, Tom Cabrera and Jack DeSalvo are all artists whose visual art is part of The Art of Jazz exhibition.
