Join us for a vibrant and joyous Kwanzaa Celebration on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 255 Schenck Ave, Westbury, NY 11590.
Immerse yourself in the rich traditions and cultural significance of Kwanzaa as we come together to honor African heritage and unity. It is a time to honor lessons taught by our ancestors. This event promises an afternoon filled with engaging activities and lively performances. We will be making simple handmade gifts, and above all we will feel the spirit and pride in ourselves, our loved ones, and our community.
Celebrate the seven principles of Kwanzaa – Umoja (Unity), Kujichagulia (Self-Determination), Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility), Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics), Nia (Purpose), Kuumba (Creativity), and Imani (Faith). Discover their significance through engaging discussions.
This event is open to all, so bring your family and friends to celebrate the beauty of Kwanzaa together. Let’s embrace the spirit of community, uplift one another, and honor our shared heritage. Join us at the Kwanzaa Celebration and create lasting memories!
Parking is free on weekends in the Westbury Village lot directly across from the Westbury Arts building.
