Kids Art Classes

At the Westbury Arts Children’s Drawing and Painting Class the students will be taught the basics and fundamentals of art to get them started on their journey into art. Students will be utilizing shapes into objects and figure drawing from a fun cartoon character to a dynamic super hero. They will also learn to use color with watercolors, oil pastels, markers and colored pencils. We will have class projects together and also have sessions where the student can choose their subject matter and the instructor will help guide them to the best results. The class will be held by Jay Stuart, who teaches children and adults at various art establishments across Long Island.
Supplies may include:

• Half a dozen No.2 (HB) Pencils
• Eraser (pink or white plastic will do)
• Oil Pastel Set
• Art Pop Watercolor Tin Set
• Art Pop Infinity Markers
• 12 or 24 set of Colored Pencils
  Set of inexpensive Watercolor brushes
• Bottle of Ink
• Drawing Pad 11×14
• Watercolor Paper 9×12
• Bristol Board 9×12

Not all of the supplies need to be purchased at once. The instructor will provide the list at time of registration.
