Oscar Wilde’s trivial comedy for serious people is given fresh life in this queer adaptation in time for Pride month at Westbury ArtsTwo mixed up couples, two Ernests, a governess, a vicar, a dozen muffins, some cucumber sandwiches, one of theatre’s most iconic aristocrats and a butler who is done with all of it.EastLine Theatre in association with Westbury Arts will present the world premiere of Being Earnest by Long Island playwright Danny Higgins this June, based on Oscar Wilde’s classic play The Importance of Being Earnest.This production is part of EastLine’s Theatre for All initiative. Ticket reservations are $20 per seat. These reservations are refundable, in cash, following each performance.Attendees must show proof of vaccination and will be required to remain masked throughout the performance. Performances of Being Earnest will begin promptly at the listed time. All attendees must arrive by fifteen minutes prior to the performance or their tickets may be released to a waiting list. If you are unable to attend please call us at 516-749-5047. Performances have very limited seating and we would like to accommodate as many audience members as would like to attend. All seating is general admission. Refunds of $20 cash per seat only, will be made in-person, following each performance. Ticketing fees are non-refundable.
