Westbury Arts continued its 2017 Summer Arts & Concert Series with a family themed event featuring maraca making, face painting, and a free outdoor concert by Nu Mo Swing. This fun-filled evening took place on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 PM in the Piazza Ernesto Strada, located on the corner of Post Ave and Maple Ave in downtown Westbury.

Napolean Revels-Bey and Nu Mo Swing (Bryan Carrott, Paul Ramsey and Misha Tsyganov) provided an evening that included Caribbean Jazz, some history, and even a touch of salsa. Napolean Revels-Bey is a percussionist famous for his involvement in many Broadway productions. He has also worked with celebrities such as Gladys Knight, Gregory Hines, Caleb Hathaway and even Aretha Franklin. His community spirit has inspired him to develop multiple organizations to bring music to all ages.

Westbury Arts volunteers were on hand to assist children and adults with creating their own maracas to join in the fun. There was also face painting!

The 2017 Westbury Summer Arts and Concert Series is sponsored by the Incorporated Village of Westbury and Westbury Arts. This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Huntington Arts Council.
