Happy Fall! This letter is to inform you of some exciting developments from the Board of Directors.

As of October 14th, I have stepped down from my role as President of the Greater Westbury Council for the Arts. It has been a privilege to serve you as we work to fulfill our mission of promoting the arts and culture in Westbury and the surrounding areas. Thank you for the support that you have shown me, as well as your dedication to our goals as an organization. I plan to remain an active board member in the role of treasurer, in addition to my new role as mom!

As a result of a special Board of Directors meeting on October 14th, Julie Lyon has been named our new president. Julie is a founding member and board member and has been an asset to the Arts Council since its inception.

Some other changes that occurred at this meeting include the resignation of Co-recording Secretary Marueen Baranov due to medical reasons. I thank Maureen for her service and wish her a speedy recovery!

Newly appointed positions include: Michael Kennedy as 1st Vice President, Dana Boylan and Wendy Liotti as Co-Recording Secretaries, and I will be the treasurer.

Again, I would like to thank the Board of Directors and the general membership for their encouragement and support this past year. Please join me in welcoming Julie Lyon as president!
