Westbury Arts is accepting proposals for our upcoming Workshop Series. Westbury Arts member artists are invited to submit proposals for workshops on visual arts, crafts, and performing arts. We encourage you to submit multiple workshops for consideration. Non-members should join Westbury Arts before submitting a proposal. In the case of a group presentation or co-teaching situation, at least one member of the group must be a member in good standing. The application should be submitted by the active Westbury Arts member.
Workshops will be held in the Westbury Recreation Center Room #1 with a maximum of 20 students. Workshop should be designed for adult students, 18 years old and older. We are not accepting proposals for children’s workshops at this time. Please indicate how many adult students you are willing to teach. Workshops can range from several hours to all day (no more than 8 hours) or multiple days. You should also indicate preferred days/dates for your workshop. Westbury Arts staff will determine the minimum number of students in each workshop based on cost and reserve the right to cancel a workshop without sufficient students to defray costs.
Instructors will receive $50/hour for proposed workshop. In the case of group or co-instructors each instructor will receive $50 per hour. Bear in mind that we will take the cost of instruction into consideration when reviewing the proposed workshop.
The final deadline for proposals is November 15, 2017.
