The Village of Westbury Recreation Department is collaborating with Westbury Arts to provide a summer arts program for children in grades 1-8. The six-week program, which runs Mondays thru Thursdays from July 9 to August 16, will include fine arts, music, theater, sculpture, and more. There will be an optional two-hour after program (recreation time) from 2-4pm at no additional cost. The program costs $600 for residents and $900 for non-residents. Lunch is included.
“Westbury Arts is proud to be partnering with the Village of Westbury to provide this summer arts program to the children of Westbury and the surrounding communities,” said Westbury Arts President Julie Lyon. “We believe that the arts should be an integral part of a child’s education and this program will help fill a need for arts education in this community allowing children an avenue for self-expression.”
