Westbury Arts is pleased to announce that we will be holding a Juried Art Contest and Exhibit. The juried contest calls for art and sculpture that showcase the theme, “Art Is An Awakening!” Acceptable mediums include 2D and 3D submissions. Entries will be accepted until March 19, 2018 and the exhibit will be on display in the Lounge of the Westbury Memorial Library from April 16 through May 12, 2018.
Submission Guidelines
Entry is free for Westbury Arts members. Log in to remove the charge from this submission. There is a $20 jury fee for non-members.
Open to artists living and/or working in the greater Westbury area and its surroundings. Original works in 2D and 3D in any medium no larger than 36” x 36” except for video and installation art, can be accommodated. You may submit up to three pieces for consideration. Send digital images of proposed artwork via email, as attachment, to Alex Nuñez, Email must include; artist name, location, contact information, medium and dimensions of proposed artwork. All accepted artwork must be delivered to The Westbury Memorial Library on Saturday April 14 by 3:00 p.m., ready to hang or display. 3D art you will need to bring your own display platform.
If your work is accepted, we will notify you via email no later than March 26. Due to the tight schedule, you will only be notified if you are accepted. Entries without contact information cannot be considered.
Pick up date and time for artwork is Saturday, May 12th at 3pm.
