Farmers & Artists Market Vendor Spotlight: Nicole Harrington of Beyond the Sea

This summer, Westbury Arts and Sunnyside Markets are teaming up to launch the Westbury Farmers & Artists Market. Each market will feature up to twenty-five booths selling local produce and original artwork. Throughout the season, we’ll be highlighting some of our fantastic vendors.

Meet Nicole Harrington of Beyond the Sea.

How did you get started in your field?

“I worked in a shop that specialized in custom wood signs and refurbishing old furniture and I was hooked. The owner sadly became ill and was no longer able to keep me on, so I branched out on my own.”

What kind of products can be found at your booth at the Farmers and Artists Market?

“I create hand painted wood signs or canvas work and am now bringing more of my home decor and ribbon crib mobiles into the works.”

What makes your products unique?

“All my work is done with love in my heart. Each piece is special – whether it be a bible verse, a holiday sign, or a movie quote. I try to reach out to everyone’s needs and likes. I use only chalk paint and an organic sealer to keep my signs in prime condition.”

The Westbury Farmers & Artists Market runs every Sunday from June 11 through September 24 at 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM in the Piazza Ernesto Strada, located at the corner of Post Ave and Maple Ave in Westbury, NY. Interested in signing up to become a vendor? Reserve a booth for just $25.
