The July 12 event featured Long Island’s premiere pops orchestra: North Shore Pops.

Westbury Arts continued its 2018 Summer Arts & Concert Series with Long Island’s premiere pops orchestra North Shore Pops on Thursday, July 12. The event, which was sponsored by Rowan Realty, attracted over 175 attendees to the Piazza Ernesto Strada. It was the third in a series of 10 free outdoor concerts to take place in the Village of Westbury this Summer.

Attendees got to hear the beautiful music of George Gershwin, the snappy tunes of Cole Porter, and the elegant jazz of Duke Ellington – along with exciting Sousa marches and American patriotic selections. North Shore Pops performs contemporary hits by Stevie Wonder, Carol King, and many of today’s composers – including arrangements from Broadway’s best music, Hollywood themes, and light Classical music, too!

The Westbury Arts Summer Arts & Concert Series takes place every Thursday night (through August 30) at 7pm in the Piazza Ernesto Strada, located on the corner of Post Ave and Maple Ave in Westbury, NY. Attendance is free for all events.
