Women in Words: A Recap

On Friday, March 27, The Greater Westbury Council for the Arts presented Women in Words, a spoken word event honoring Women’s History month. Held at His & Hers Bar & Lounge on Post Avenue the event was a smashing success. The men and women who shared their words were eloquent, powerful and inspiring.

Emcee Tom “The Bomb” Verni did a great job and the musical accompaniment by Michael Kennedy was perfect! Women in Words was very well attended and generated new memberships and interest in future Arts Council events. Many thanks to Chrissy Shelley, Patty Eljaiek, Dana Boylan, Michael Kennedy, Tom Verni, and Julie Lyon for their hard work putting this event together!

P.S. Board Member Michael Cesarano live streamed the event. Watch his videos!
