Farmers & Artists Market Vendor Spotlight: Jay Stuart

posted in: News 0

This summer, Westbury Arts and Sunnyside Markets are teaming up to launch the Westbury Farmers & Artists Market. Each market will feature up to twenty-five booths selling local produce and original artwork. Throughout the season, we’ll be highlighting some of our fantastic vendors.

Meet Jay Stuart.

How did you get started in your field?

As a local artist I began with showing my work through group shows and events- eventually working my way up to solo shows at Galleries such as Ripe Art in Huntington on the island. My last big show at Rip Art we decided to do a book based off my 2015 Nosferatu Inktober series and since then have been making books and other products from my art.

What kind of products can be found at your booth at the Farmers and Artists Market?

I offer original illustrated storybooks, Tarot Cards, comic books and prints with all original art by me. My Grim’s Vile Tales Comic just came out so it’s pretty popular this month.

What makes your products unique?

I like to think my art and the imagination I put into these works will speak for themselves as far how unique they are compared to other books and tarot cards out in the market.
