Westbury Arts continued its 2017 Summer Arts & Concert Series with a Rock ‘n’ Roll themed event featuring an outdoor painting class and a concert by X-Session. This rockin’ evening took place on Thursday, August 10 at 7:00 PM in the Piazza Ernesto Strada, located on the corner of Post Ave and Maple Ave in downtown Westbury.

Artist/Instructor Jay Stuart was on hand to guide attendees through an interactive “paint to the music” experience. For just a $20 donation ($15 for Westbury Arts members), attendees had access to an easel, canvas, paint, and apron. At the end of the evening, participants were able to take home their own masterpiece. Artists who had their own supplies were invited to bring their easels and join the fun at no cost.

The 2017 Westbury Summer Arts and Concert Series is sponsored by the Incorporated Village of Westbury and Westbury Arts. This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Huntington Arts Council.
