Westbury Arts Is Now Accepting Proposals For 2019

We’re now accepting proposals for 2019 programs –  including events, workshops, and concerts.

The Planning & Programs Committee has officially rolled out its proposal process for events. Proposals for our 2019 season will be accepted between August 1, 2018 and September 3, 2018. Decisions will be made by the board of directors in October, and the final 2019 budget will be approved at the December board meeting.

Before submitting an event proposal, it is highly recommended that you review our Event Coordinator Toolkit. This Toolkit, which launched this summer, outlines the responsibilities involved with coordinating an event, including budgeting, scheduling, volunteer management, communications, and marketing.

The committee also announced a new proposal process for workshops. Rather than accepting applications on a rolling basis, Westbury Arts member artists are invited to submit proposals for the 2019 season between August 1, 2018 and September 3, 2018. Workshops should be designed for Adult students, 18 years old and older. Selected instructors will receive $50/hour for proposed workshop. In the case of group or co-instructors each instructor will receive $50 per hour.

Lastly, Westbury Arts is accepting proposals for our 2019 Summer Arts & Concert Series. Concerts will take place in the Piazza Ernesto Strada (Post Ave. and Maple Ave., Westbury, NY) from June through August of 2019.
