Westbury Arts Paints the Town for Spring

posted in: News 0

On May 4, 2019, Westbury Arts curated and organized their first annual spring window painting event. This project was a collaboration between the Westbury BID (Business Improvement District), the Westbury/Carle Place Chamber of Commerce and Westbury Arts. The BID and Chamber assisted in the recruitment of businesses and also sponsored the supplies and honorarium for the participating artists. The local artists were chosen to participate through an open call.

This project was also a big success thanks to our amazing volunteers including President Julie Lyon, Development Committee Chair Angelica Medina, Assistant Treasurer Connie Locascio and artist member Vince Scuderi who contributed by painting and keeping everyone supplied with what they needed throughout the event.

Westbury Arts also worked closely with Vanessa Esposito, Executive Director of the Westbury BID and Michele Cacioppo and Frank Frisone from the Chamber of Commerce. The lead volunteer on this project was Patty Eljaiek, Chair of Planning and Programming for Westbury Arts.
